Share your opinions in upcoming Employee Engagement Survey

Employees make a difference through their feedback – and Yale New Haven Health wants to hear from you! That’s why YNHHS is asking employees to participate in the 2021 Employee Engagement Survey. The survey, themed The Power of Partnership, will open on Oct. 4 and run through Oct. 24.

Employees participated in a brief, employee engagement pulse survey in May which was designed to act as a “check in” to see how you—and YNHHS—were doing. Responses from this full survey in October will help leaders assess progress from the last full survey in October 2020 in the focus areas of communication, safety, employee wellbeing, accountability and action-taking. Feedback from employees helps leaders understand what YNHHS is doing well and what needs to be done to ensure a great work environment.

We strongly encourage all employees to take a few minutes to complete the upcoming survey and provide honest, candid feedback,” said Melissa Turner, vice president, Human Resources, YNHH and vice president, Talent Acquisition, YNHHS. “Leaders throughout the health system use your feedback to help make decisions and put practices and initiatives in place that support the meaningful work you do and create a more rewarding environment.”

While participation in the last survey was not as high as in previous surveys, overall results indicated that employees were engaged, happy working at YNHHS and would recommend the health system as a great place to work, added Turner.

YNHHS’ survey vendor, Glint, Inc., will again administer this survey. The independent company will compile employees’ confidential responses and provide results in aggregate; no individual responses will be shared.

Survey participation is open to all employees hired on or before August 30, 2021. Every employee with a health system email address will receive an email from “YNHHS Engagement Survey” on Monday, Oct. 4 with a link to the survey. Beginning on that date, employees can also find the survey link on the employee intranet.

Employees without computer access at work, or who prefer to complete the survey at home, will be able to access it on any computer, tablet or smartphone that has internet access.

As they did last year, employees will use a private password to take the survey. This password provides access to Glint’s confidential site and links responses to the correct organization and reporting structure.

All employees are strongly encouraged to complete the confidential survey as high participation strengthens the quality of results.

The fall 2021 Employee Engagement Survey closes on Sunday, Oct. 24.
