Additionally, for those seeking to consult with Yale Medicine Orthopedics, a direct phone line has been set up to allow Northeast Medical Group physicians to refer patients to Yale Medicine for urgent evaluation of neurosurgical, orthopedic or spinal conditions. The referring physician will determine level of urgency based on the clinical presentation of the patient. Referred patients will receive priority scheduling and will be seen in an expedited manner. Phone calls are answered by special staff at the Yale Medicine Care Center.
