On May 25, NEMG staff from practices in New London and Stonington prepared a cookout-themed dinner for approximately 45 residents of the New London Homeless Hospitality Center. The Center is a place of safety and welcome to adults facing homelessness in southeastern Connecticut. It collaborates with dozens of public and private programs and agencies to address the underlying causes of homelessness for each person and help him/her find permanent housing as quickly as possible.

“Feeding the homeless was an uplifting, yet eye-opening, experience for all of us” said Jean Murray, practice supervisor. “The patrons were extremely grateful and loved the food. I am so proud of our volunteers and we are already planning what to serve at our next dinner. The New London region practices will be providing one Saturday night dinner per month to the Center as part of our ongoing community outreach efforts.”
