Diversity and Inclusion Council presents first training event

On May 7, Vanessa Pomarico-Denino, APRN, EdD, presented “Expanding the Rainbow: Appropriate Care of the LGBTQIA+ Patient” to an audience of 15 attendees. Viewers also had the option to join online, via a Zoom link.
Denino’s discussion for clinicians and staff focused on using appropriate terminology and understanding specific healthcare needs of the LGBTQIA+ population. The presentation was the Diversity and Inclusion Council’s first training event and was held in the third floor conference room at 99 Hawley Lane, Trumbull.
