On May 19, Northeast Medical Group staff members participated in the 2019 Breast Cancer Alliance 5K Run and Walk for Hope. Various facilities from the Greenwich region showed their support for the annual event, and NEMG’s team, “Think Pink,” raised over $700 for the cause.

Barbara Ward, MD, Alyssa Gillego, MD, and Elisa O'Brien, APRN, staffed the NEMG/Greenwich Hospital table for Breast Care Services. They provided information on breast care awareness, signs to look for and ways to navigate, if diagnosed with breast conditions. In addition, they gave away backpacks and sunscreen.

“I was so impressed by the support from NEMG,” said Jessica Morandi, practice operations manager and team captain. “We had representation from physicians and clinical, clerical and administration staff and their families. Everyone came together in support of a cause worth fighting for. We hope to build momentum with this event and have an even larger showing next year.”
