Ob/Gyn Romelle Maloney, MD, regional medical director, was featured in a new video titled COVID-19 vaccine safety for pregnant patients. The video provides information about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine for pregnant women, or women planning to become pregnant. In addition, Dr. Maloney explains the possible risk of developing more severe cases of COVID-19 and potential complications, should pregnant patients contract the illness.
“Follow the science,” said Maloney. “We know that this virus causes severe disease in pregnant women. Three times as much as people who are not pregnant.” Watch the full video.
