NEMG employees honored at annual recognition dinner

NEMG employees honored at annual recognition dinner

On Nov. 29, Northeast Medical Group honored its employees at the second annual Employee Recognition Dinner, held at the Waterview in Monroe.

Prathibha Varkey, MBBS, NEMG president and CEO, opened the evening. Noting that she was proud of the fantastic teamwork from staff and feedback from patients over the past year, she said “This is one of my favorite times of the year. This Thanksgiving season, I want to give thanks to the NEMG family for being the wonderful people you all are and the exemplary service and care you provide to both our communities and patients.”

Keynote speaker Christopher O’Connor, YNHHS COO, also praised the efforts of NEMG employees, commenting “I commend the amazing work by each and every one of you that goes unsung. You do your job not for praise, but because it makes a difference. Thank you for all you do.”

Dr. Varkey then bestowed individual milestone recognition to those celebrating years of service ranging from five to 45 years.

Peter Logue, vice president of operations, NEMG, and Kathy Madden, director, accountable care organization/value based programs, honored all of the S.T.A.R. Award winners from FY2018 with an outstanding slideshow tribute.

Additionally, Richard Goldstein, MD, NEMG vice president and CMO, Kathleen Bonaventura, DNP, APRN-BC, and Will Cushing, PA-C, MMSc, applauded advanced practice clinicians and physicians from each region for their high patient satisfaction and quality scores.

“Each exchanged idea and every shared opportunity magnifies our commitment to excellence as an organization and our personal success as individuals,” said Madeline Martinez, employee recognition committee chair. “Our annual employee recognition event provides us with a platform to share in the extra effort, dedication, insights and opinions that are all extremely successful undertakings of NEMG. Success can never be achieved unless someone has the vision and desire to initiate it. Thank you to all service award recipients and honorees for taking the initiative.”
