Ambulatory Grand Rounds discusses hematology

On Nov. 1, David Witt, MD, from Yale Cancer Center, presented “Hematology Update” to an audience of 20 fellow clinicians as part of the monthly Ambulatory Grand Rounds series. The topic covered the diagnosis and treatment of thrombocytopenia, the status of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) in heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, antiphospholipid syndrome and cancer and an overview of acquired Von Willebrand’s Syndrome.

The Ambulatory Grand Rounds series is held in the lower-level conference room at 112 Quarry Road, Trumbull, on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 am.
