Know Your Numbers Plus coming soon - Program to be introduced on new platform

know your numbers plus

Typically, the month of May at Yale New Haven Health includes the rollout of the Know Your Numbers (KYN) Plus employee wellness program. As everyone knows, however, this is not a typical spring. As a result of the current conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, KYN Plus 2020 will begin a little later this year.

KYN Plus 2020 is scheduled to launch on July 6 and will run through early October. In addition to the alternate timing, this year’s program will also look a bit different from the past. While some elements of KYN Plus will change, benefits-eligible employees will still be able to earn up to $500 in credit toward their 2021 medical benefits premiums.

“This pandemic, and its impact on our Health System, state, country and across the globe, has made us more aware than ever of the importance of good health, resiliency and self-care,” said Kevin Myatt, senior vice president and chief human resources officer. “YNHHS is committed to offering employees the opportunity to engage in programs that support their health and wellbeing.”

Along with the launch of KYN Plus, the health system will also introduce Virgin Pulse, YNHHS’s new online wellness portal available to all health system employees. Virgin Pulse will serve as the new platform for participation in KYN Plus replacing the Red Brick portal.

Going forward, Virgin Pulse will be used for more than KYN Plus. The portal is another enhancement to YNHHS’s employee wellness initiatives and will offer helpful tools and resources to be used year-round to support employee health and well-being.

“The Know Your Numbers program and the tools that will be available to employees through Virgin Pulse come at a great time and will provide a valuable combination of resources to help employees thrive while monitoring, improving and sustaining their own well-being,” said Myatt.

Next month, YNHHS will share detailed information on the KYN Plus 2020 program as well as information on how to register on the new Virgin Pulse portal in order to participate.

Stay tuned for more information about KYN Plus 2020 and Virgin Pulse in upcoming editions of (the Bulletin, Capsule, On Call, NEMG New).
