North Haven Multispecialty Center shows love for Bridgeport Animal Rescue Crew

lunch room at 4a devine

This past Valentine’s Day, staff from the North Haven Multispecialty Center got together to raise money for the Bridgeport Animal Rescue Crew (BARC). In the spirit of the holiday, the lunch room was decked out with balloons and Valentine’s Day decorations. Employees gathered for a pot-luck lunch and heart-shaped desserts and swapped valentines with one another.

Special-edition valentines were sold at $1 each with proceeds going to sponsor dogs in need of adoption. BARC t-shirts were for sale for $20 each. The event raised $170.

The BARC is a nonprofit animal advocacy and rescue organization that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes unwanted dogs throughout Connecticut.

“It made for a very special day full of love and giving,” said Marlene Scrivani, respiratory therapist.” “This is such a wonderful place to work.”
