Northeast Medical Group staff members recently participated in the 2019 Greater New Haven Heart Walk – a three-mile trek beginning at Savin Rock Park in West Haven. NEMG’s team consisted of 65 supporters.
Led by co-captains Leslie Feduik and Mirian Maldonado, the NEMG team raised over $3,400 for the cause. The collected funds represented the second-highest total raised by all participants.
“Leading a team, especially for an event like this, is definitely a lot of work, but seeing the end results make it all worth it,” said Feduik. “We were very happy to raise such a large amount of money for this worthy cause, and we hope for the same, if not better, results next year.”
“The fight against heart disease is one that is very important to me,” said Maldonado. “I lost my father in 2002 to heart disease and have made it my goal to help in this battle ever since. I participate in the heart walks whenever possible and contribute yearly to this worthy cause. I want to personally thank our clinicians and staff for both their generous donations and volunteerism.”
