The Community Outreach Committee recently completed its school supplies drive. Participating practices in the Greenwich region decorated donation boxes and collected 945 items, including backpacks, crayons, erasers, notebooks, pencils and more. A total of 31 backpacks were filled and presented to Stillmeadow Elementary School in Stamford Sept. 3.

“I remember what it was like as a kid to get all new stuff for the first day of school,” said Amanda Saint-Cloud, PSA III. “My favorite part of going back to school was feeling excited to buy new crayons and folders and pack my backpack. There are parents who are unable to afford rent and groceries, so school supplies aren’t a priority. I’m proud that, together as a region, we played a huge role in ensuring that all children have what they need to succeed in the classroom.”

NEMG is dedicated to helping the communities it serves. For information about local events or to join the Community Outreach Committee, contact Robert Mitchell, 203-384-5109.
