NEMG Community Outreach Committee completes annual coat drive

The NEMG Community Outreach Committee (COC) once again proved its dedication and commitment to helping those in need, especially during the holiday season and colder months. Recognizing the continued demand for assistance in the Bridgeport region, COC members came together and proudly supported the annual coat drive for the Bridgeport Rescue Mission

This year’s event, which ran from Nov. 29 to Dec. 21, 2021, was led by Nadine Mitchell, practice supervisor, and Andrea Waller, preventive health coordinator. The collection yielded approximately 450 coats for patrons of the Bridgeport Rescue Mission.

“It was a pleasure being a part of such a remarkable event,” Mitchell said. “There is nothing more rewarding than helping a child in need and, as a mother, I felt this firsthand. Every young person deserves to have a warm coat. This was a great experience and a very successful event.”

NEMG is dedicated to helping the communities it serves. For information about local events or to join the Community Outreach Committee, contact Robert Mitchell, 203-384-5109.
