YNHHS marks Nurses Week with celebration, reflection

Nurses Week, May 6 - 12, provided an opportunity to recognize nurses for their contributions and the impact they have on so many people’s lives every day. This year’s YNHHS Nurses Week theme was “Nurses Make a Difference.”

“NEMG would like to wish all our nurses a Happy Nurses Week, celebrated this week in May each year to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale,” said Ryan O’Connell, MD, vice president, wellness, and engagement, NEMG. “As a physician, I find myself increasingly indebted to the work of nurses as time goes on and my perspective on teams of care grows. We are extremely grateful for the work you do enhancing our patients’ care, wellbeing, and their lives.”
