This month, Northeast Medical Group recognizes a valued member of its Diversity and Inclusion Council: Laura Solheim.
Laura Solheim, a practice supervisor, has worked for NEMG for three years. Since 2018, she’s volunteered her time to several Community Outreach Committee and diversity and inclusion programs. Most recently, she was involved with the Bridgeport region Toys for Tots drive. “While planning the Toys for Tots event, I had the pleasure of working with such an amazing team,” she said. “We were proud to have had such a successful event that collected 1,845 toys to be delivered to children for the 2019 holiday season.”
“What I find to be the most rewarding part of my experience with the Community Outreach Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Council is the gathering of people and learning from all our differences. Every drive, every event we hold, not only helps thousands of those who need us the most, but also brings out the best in all of us.”
