Margaret McGovern, MD, PhD, chief executive officer, Yale Medicine, and executive vice president and chief physician executive, Yale New Haven Health, recently shared the following Aligned Clinician Enterprise news regarding the clinically integrated network (CIN):
We continue to make excellent progress on our new clinically integrated network. As announced on Feb. 16, Rajlakshmi Krishnamurthy, MD, has been named associate dean of population health for YSM and SVP and chief population health officer for YNHHS, effective May 1. This role is integral to the success of the CIN and our broader alignment efforts. Dr. Krishnamurthy, who comes to us from University of Chicago Medicine, will be responsible for improving value-based care and the sustainability of healthcare delivery through collaborative partnerships with physicians, system hospitals, payers, community-based organizations and preferred partners. She will lead and drive population health efforts and programs, clinical integration, physician performance improvement, and deliver on quality and value.
Read the announcement about Dr. Krishnamurthy.
In other developments, the CIN board will have its inaugural meeting later this month. As a physician-led organization, the Board’s 12 members include four YSM physicians, four NEMG physicians, and four standing members representing YNHHS administration (the chief physician executive, chief clinical officer, chief financial officer and chief population health officer). See the list of Board members.
In addition, we encourage physicians interested in playing a role to consider serving on one or more of the following committees of the CIN board: Digital and Technology Services/Analytics, Quality, Network Development, and Contracting.
