Ryan Keenan, APRN

Ryan Keenan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) working in the Department of Psychiatry at Bridgeport Hospital. In addition to inpatient settings, he has ventured into vital areas of mental health care, including working in methadone clinics, residential centers and halfway houses, and the demanding realm of home care. Ryan’s expertise in psychiatric consultation services has been instrumental in guiding patients and healthcare teams to make informed decisions for optimal mental health outcomes. He embodies the values of empathy, compassion, and advocacy, and his extensive background has equipped him with a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, allowing him to offer individualized care tailored to each person’s unique needs.

Ryan received his master’s degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT, and is board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). His commitment to education and his patients has always been at the forefront of his career. Ryan has honed his skills and nurtured his passion for mental health, effectively connecting with individuals from adolescents to adults, establishing rapport and trust to guide them on their healing paths.
