Raquel Rozner, MD

Raquel Rozner, MD, a gastroenterologist, enjoys fostering relationships with her patients by building trust and formulating plans that work for each patient on an individual basis. Dr. Rozner treats a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders with a special interest in motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, nutrition, and liver diseases. She is vastly skilled at endoscopy, colonoscopy, and colon-cancer screening.

Dr. Rozner is originally from Long Island, New York. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Binghamton University and went on to receive her medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, New York and her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Yale University/Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. During her fellowship, she worked closely under the tutelage of Rosemarie Fisher, MD, Director of the Nutritional Support team and Professor Emeritus of Digestive Diseases, and Jill Gaidos, MD, a world-renowned leader in the field of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Under Dr. Fisher and Dr. Gaidos, Dr. Rozner gained expertise in the treatment of nutritional disorders and IBD in some of the most complex patients.

Dr. Rozner’s research has appeared in multiple peer-reviewed journals and she has presented her original research at national meetings. She is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).

As an avid cook, Dr. Rozner has an interest in nutrition and how food can impact her patients just as much as pharmacologic treatments can. Also a classically trained singer, in her free time you can find Dr. Rozner singing and attending concerts in addition to hiking, and traveling the world with her husband. Dr. Rozner performs procedures at Park Avenue Medical Center and Bridgeport Hospital.
