Matthew Seigerman, MD is a Board-Certified Cardiologist dedicated to providing patient-centered care across a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. As an Interventional Cardiologist, his areas of expertise include coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease, including novel approaches to treating mitral and aortic valve disease. He also has expertise in interventional approaches to managing and treating pulmonary embolism and is an active member of the Bridgeport Hospital PE Response Team (PERT). Dr. Seigerman takes pride in caring for patients across the spectrum of disease, from prevention to therapy, and has established longitudinal care for the cardiovascular care of his patients. He strives to build patient-physician relationships utilizing a team approach, empowering patients to be in control of their care.Dr. Seigerman earned his medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he was selected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He completed his Internal Medicine residency, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
