Tao Du, MD, PhD, a board-certified internal medicine physician, nurtures long-term patient relationships as a trusted member of her patients and their families’ health team with high quality medical care and finds joy in partnering with her patients to achieve their health goals. Dr. Du prides herself as being an active concerned member to care for her patients, focusing on preventative medicine (physicals, annual wellness visits, immunizations, etc.) and acute and chronic conditions.

Dr. Du received her medical degree from West China University of Medical Sciences, a prestigious world-class public research institution of medical sciences located in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. She completed her intern, residency and hematology/oncology training at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) in Beijing, China, a hospital world renowned as “Oriental John Hopkins.” Dr. Du then practiced as an internist and hematologist for over 10 years in this hospital. She completed her residency again at Greenwich Hospital, where she later practiced as a hospitalist in the internal medicine department for over 12 years.

Dr. Du received her PhD in molecular biology/stem cell research from Peking Union Medical College and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS). Then she received her post-Doctoral fellow training at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She was promoted to assistant professor at the New York Blood Center (NYBC) before she returned to clinical medical practice. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Dr. Du is fluent in English and Chinese.
