Delfina Margalli, CNM, DNP

Delfina Margalli, CNM, a certified nurse midwife, has a sincere passion for labor and delivery, always finding it one of the most fulfilling experiences to help someone through the trials of labor and to finally give birth to their baby. Delfina became a midwife to be more involved in helping patients with their birth choices and guiding them through a safe labor and delivery. Her experience as both a registered nurse and midwife has truly helped her not only to appreciate and support normal labor but also to recognize developing concerns requiring intervention. She is also a certified lactation counselor (CLC).

Delfina earned her doctorate in nursing at Columbia University in New York City and completed her residency program at Phelps Hospital (intrapartum) and Open Door Family Medical Center (antepartum). She has registered nurse certifications (RNC) in inpatient obstetric nursing (RNC-OB), maternal newborn nursing (RNC-MNN), low-risk newborn nursing (RNC-LRN) and perioperative nursing practice (CNOR). Delfina has an interest in alternative medicine, nutrition and loves camping. She is board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
