Damianos Kokkinidis, MD

Damianos Kokkinidis, MD, a board-certified cardiologist, takes pride in caring for patients across the whole spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, from prevention to therapy, while he utilizes a patient-centered approach for every single individual. Dr. Kokkinidis provides patient-centered care across a broad range of cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiovascular prevention, atrial fibrillation and other related arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. He spent a significant amount of his cardiology training in advanced cardiovascular imaging techniques such as performing transesophageal echocardiograms and interpreting cardiac computed tomography images, nuclear stress tests and vascular ultrasound.

Dr. Kokkinidis, a native of Greece, received his medical degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. Subsequently, he moved to the United States to complete an advanced research fellowship in cardiology and vascular medicine at the Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado and the University of Colorado. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Jacobi Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York and his cardiology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. When he is not taking care of patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. Dr. Kokkinidis holds multiple board certifications, including cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE), cardiac computed tomography by the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CBCCT) and nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC). He is fluent in English and Greek.
