Members of the Northeast Medical Group Community Outreach Committee in New London participated in the 18th Annual Walk to End Homelessness, held in downtown New London on April 27. Proceeds benefit the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, which helps homeless people throughout the region.
“In addition to the walk, we provide a monthly meal service, and throughout the year, collect clothing and toiletry items for the Center,” said Katie Poitras-Sellari, manager, practice operations. “They had a great turnout for the walk this year and we look forward to participating in the 2026 event.”
The Homeless Hospitality Center is an emergency shelter that also connects people with assistance programs and services, promotes job readiness, runs a housing resource center and provides permanent housing opportunities.
