NEMG Community Outreach Committee members from the New London region recently held a “Spring Clean” event to get the Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) patient garden at L+M Hospital ready for the season. The garden is used as a therapeutic activity for IOP patients during warmer months.
“The ‘Spring Clean’ has become a yearly tradition to get the garden ready for group therapy sessions,” said Katie Poitras-Sellari, director, Ambulatory Operations-East Region. “The garden provides a calm outdoor environment for patients.”
