With children’s vaccinations, YNHHS reaches another COVID-19 milestone

On Nov. 4, Yale New Haven Health began giving children ages 5 to 11 their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at sites across Connecticut. Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital has joined with the Children’s Hospital Association in a national campaign to ensure that children and families have access to evidence-based resources and safe, age-appropriate vaccination sites in their local communities. Selected by the State of Connecticut to lead the pediatric COVID-19 vaccination enterprise, Yale New Haven also will distribute Pfizer doses to pediatricians’ offices around the state.
