As COVID-19 begins stabilizing in the community, we are rescheduling appointments and procedures that may have been postponed.
Comfort and Safety Measures
We have increased efforts to keep our patients, visitors and healthcare professionals safe. Learn more about how we are adding additional screenings, testing, social distancing and cleaning across our facilities.
You can expect a phone screening 48 hours before your appointment. A staff member will briefly review some important questions and explain what to expect upon arrival.
We encourage you to use the “electronic check-in process” on MyChart before your arrival to reduce in-person interactions. Instructions are available from MyChart’s login screen or through the MyChart app.
At this time, no visitor(s) are allowed to accompany you to your scheduled appointment except for patients who need caregiver assistance, but that guest will need to be screened as well upon arrival.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
When you arrive at the office, please ensure that you are wearing a mask (cloth masks are acceptable). If not, one will be provided to you. Staff and clinicians will also wear masks during all encounters with patients.
You will be stopped at the entrance for pre-screening by a staff member. At that time, your temperature will be taken and you will be asked questions about any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.
Appointment frequency is being limited. We are spacing out appointments to two per hour and extending office hours to ensure our ability to clean rooms and promote physical distancing.
Disinfection and Cleaning
Enhanced infection control standards are in place. That includes a thorough disinfection of exam rooms between each patient.
We are following a number of new protocols to ensure social distancing. Waiting rooms have plexiglass screens and we have reduced the number of staff at any one site.
Preparing For Your Visit
You will be screened before entry into a Northeast Medical Group office. Please be sure to wear a mask to your appointment. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.
To help minimize the amount of time spent in the waiting room and reception area, we are encouraging the use of MyChart to conduct pre-visit registration, collect copays and access your After Visit Summary. If you do not already have a MyChart account, learn more about how to get started.
Surgeries and Procedures
If you have a scheduled procedure, our teams will walk you through new, easy processes for pre-testing, arrival and discharge. These include using mobile device check-in and reduced on-site paperwork. You may be asked to have a COVID-19 test prior to your procedure. We offer a wide range of telehealth services if you prefer to see your doctor from the comfort of your home. You will need a MyChart account to conduct a visit. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up for one.
