How do I get ready for my appointment?

In-Person

You will be screened before entry into a Northeast Medical Group office. Please be sure to wear a mask to your appointment. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.

To help minimize the amount of time spent in the waiting room and reception area, we are encouraging the use of MyChart to conduct pre-visit registration, collect copays and access your After Visit Summary. If you do not already have a MyChart account, learn more about how to get started.

Surgeries and Procedures

If you have a scheduled procedure, our teams will walk you through new, easy processes for pre-testing, arrival and discharge. These include using mobile device check-in and reduced on-site paperwork. You may be asked to have a COVID-19 test prior to your procedure. 

Telehealth

We offer a wide range of telehealth services if you prefer to see your clinician from the comfort of your home. You will need a MyChart account to conduct a visit. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up for one.

Video Care OnDemand

Yale New Haven Health’s Video Care OnDemand provides video access to clinicians for minor medical concerns using your smartphone or tablet.

How do I prevent COVID-19?

COVID-19 is spread from person to person, typically through respiratory droplets from a cough or sneeze but also through close contact with infected individuals. People may also spread the virus without showing any symptoms. Following CDC recommended precautions will help you and those around you prevent the spread of COVID-19.

How can I learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine?

The State of Connecticut determines eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine. Only people who live or work in Connecticut can be vaccinated at our sites.

How can I get tested?

COVID-19 public testing sites are available to accommodate not only individuals who may have symptoms (symptomatic), but also those scheduled for procedures at our locations and those without symptoms (asymptomatic) in the community. Drive-through, walk-up and mobile testing centers are located throughout Connecticut, with an additional site in Westerly, Rhode Island. Many sites are open seven days a week and welcome adults and children who need tests.

What are the COVID-19 symptoms?

Patients with confirmed COVID-19 have mild-to-severe respiratory illness. Some symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath and may appear 2-14 days after exposure.
