Sara Richer, MD, FACS, a board-certified otolaryngologist, has a clinical interest in parathyroid surgery and thyroid surgery, with a particular interest in optimizing the patient experience in these surgeries. Her special areas of interest include parathyroid surgery, head and neck masses, salivary gland disorders, thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules.
A graduate of Rush Medical College with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, Dr. Richer completed her Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency at McGaw Medical Center Northwestern University. She then completed a fellowship in thyroid and parathyroid surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Massachusetts General Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital and she has authored numerous publications about these surgeries.
Same-day surgeries are performed at Bridgeport Hospital and Greenwich Hospital.
