From May 8 - 17, Yale New Haven Health will hold its third annual “10 Days of Gratitude” to honor the more than 30,000 employees and medical staff who make up our health system. The celebration will include Nurses Week May 6 - 12 and Hospital Week May 11 -17.
“We continue to build upon the success of our previous 10 Days of Gratitude celebrations with new ways to show our appreciation for our employees and the work they do every day,” said Denise Morris, vice president, Inclusion, Belonging and Employee/Labor Relations, YNHHS.
Throughout the 10 days, employees will once again be able to choose a gift, with additional options offered. New meal and snack options will be available to ensure all employees can enjoy a special treat.
Returning this year will be random prize drawings, a motivational speaker, tips on cultivating gratitude, wellness webinars, the “Excellence in Action” awards and Raves and Kudos.
For details and schedules, watch for future communications and check the Recognition Connection intranet site.
Employees are invited to show their gratitude to our communities by volunteering with various organizations during the 10 Days of Gratitude.* YNHHS’ Community and Government Relations has created a list of organizations in each delivery network’s service area with links to sign up to volunteer.
See the YNHHS employee intranet for the list
* Employees volunteer freely for public service without consideration of compensation.
