Appointments

Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) physicians and advanced practice clinicians accepting online appointments can be found on our Make an Appointment page. You may schedule an appointment with a Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) physician by calling his or her office directly, and the receptionist will help you schedule a time convenient for you. If you need to find your physician’s contact information, you can use our Find a Physician tool and search by name. You may also find this tool helpful when searching for physicians by specialty.

Please bring your personal insurance card, co-payment, photo ID, verification of your name, address, date of birth, and current phone number(s). At each appointment, our registration staff will ask to see your insurance card or verify the information we have in the system. Please have your current insurance information at each visit to avoid any unnecessary delays. We also ask that you bring a complete list of all current medications you are taking.

Please allow a few extra minutes before your appointment, if you are a new NEMG patient or your insurance has changed, to complete the necessary paperwork.

You may be charged a $25 fee for any missed office visit if you do not notify us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. Patients who miss appointments for major testing and procedures may be charged a $100 fee if sufficient notice is not received.

Billing

If you have questions regarding your statement, our billing staff is available to assist you with questions related to your account. You can contact our patient services office by calling toll-free 1-844-523-5126 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, or via e-mail at NEMG.custserv@mckesson.com. The patient services office fax number is 203-916-1041.

Yes. For the convenience of our patients, bills can be paid online by following this link to our secure bill pay portal. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, debit cards, cash, or check. Co-pays, known coinsurance and deductibles are due at the time of service. There will be a $25 service charge for returned checks/insufficient funds.

Hours & Locations

NEMG office hours will vary by physician. Please access the Find a Physician tool to search by physician for more information on office hours.

NEMG after office hours vary by practice. Saturday hours are available in some of our offices. For urgent medical concerns after hours, the answering service will alert the physician on call. Additionally, you can visit one of our walk-in centers. For a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room.

NEMG has offices throughout Fairfield, New Haven and New London counties in Connecticut and Westchester County in New York. To search for a specific location, you can search by town in the Find a Physician section of our website.

Electronic Medical Records

An electronic medical record (EMR) is a digital version of a paper chart that contains all of a patient’s medical history. Northeast Medical Group and the three hospitals of Yale New Haven Health - Bridgeport, Greenwich and Yale New Haven - use the same EMR so that our patients’ records can be easily and securely accessed throughout our health system.

MyChart gives you direct, secure online access to portions of your electronic medical record. Your lab results, appointment information, medications, immunizations and more are all securely stored for quick retrieval. MyChart provides new, convenient methods of communication with your doctor’s office. Renew prescriptions, send messages and request appointments – all online. Ask your physician’s office for your MyChart Activation Code to get started.

You can call your physician’s office to receive your test and lab results. Please be sure to provide your office with the most current contact information should the physician want to contact you.

Physicians

Northeast Medical Group’s Find a Physician tool can help you find a primary care doctor. You can search by name, specialty and location to find a doctor who is right for you. Alternatively, you may call our toll-free physician referral center, 24/7 at 1-855-NEMG-MDS (636-4637).

If you need a specialist, Northeast Medical Group physicians are happy to refer you to one. You can also search by specialty using our Find a Physician website tool. We have a range of trained, highly skilled specialists in our group and throughout Yale New Haven Health. If your insurance company requires a referral and/or prior authorization, contact your primary care physician prior to seeing a specialist. If you do not have one, our physician finder tool can help you find one.

Yes, Northeast Medical Group has both family medicine and pediatric practices. These practices can be found by searching by specialty with the Find a Physician tool.

Our physicians are affiliated with Yale New Haven Health hospitals. These hospitals include Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital. Please ask your doctor for details regarding access to these hospitals under your insurance plan.

Prescriptions

To refill your prescription, please have your pharmacy fax a refill authorization to your physician’s office.
