System leadership shares insights at All Clinicians Forum

The Northeast Medical Group All Clinicians Forum on September 12 featured a panel discussion of leaders from across Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS). Moderated by Prathibha Varkey, MBBS, NEMG president and CEO, the group included Christopher O’Connor, executive vice president and chief operating officer, YNHHS; Richard D’Aquila, president, YNHHS and Yale New Haven Hospital; William Jennings, president and chief executive officer, Bridgeport Hospital and executive vice president, YNHHS; Norman Roth, president and chief executive officer, Greenwich Hospital; and Patrick Green, president and chief executive officer, Lawrence + Memorial Healthcare.

During the hour-long session, Dr. Varkey asked the panel a series of questions about the opportunities, challenges and happenings in their respective delivery network. Participants provided detailed responses, and many also explained the value NEMG brings to their region and business. Watch the full panel discussion here.

Following the panel, Dr. Varkey presented on highlights of Fiscal Year 2017 and some priorities for Fiscal Year 2018. Charles Esposito, MD; Herbert Archer, MD; and Nabil Atweh, MD presented on pediatrics, the hospitalist program and surgery, respectively. Arnold DoRosario, MD, NEMG chief medical officer, discussed clinical continuity and its importance to NEMG and the health system.

Approximately 250 clinicians attended the forum at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Shelton or via video conference in Groton, New Haven or Greenwich.
