Training in LGBTQ patient-centered care offered
As part of YNHHS' effort to achieve “LGBTQ Leader” status in healthcare equality, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is offering education about creating an inclusive environment for LGBTQ patients and staff. More than 60 different free, online on-demand continuing medical education (CME) training options are available. Topics include: Behavioral Health Care, LGBTQ Youth, LGBTQ Healthcare for Clinicians, Transgender Health and many more.
Employees are encouraged to complete one or more of these courses by visiting www.hrc.org/hei/lgbtq-training. Select from the course listings: “HRC Foundation HEI Trainings on the CAL” or “National LGBT Health Education Center” to find the courses and register for training. Be sure to enter the YNHHS facility ID: 55689 and security code: HRC, to ensure Yale New Haven Health receives credit for your taking the training.
