New leaders at NEMG

Northeast Medical Group announces the following leadership changes.

Aimee Derry was promoted from her current role as New Haven regional director for practice operations to executive director, NEMG business development, reporting to Dr. Prathibha Varkey. She will be responsible for clinician recruitment, mergers and acquisitions, clinician onboarding, facilities, business development, innovation and operational leadership over NEMG and Yale Medicine collaborations. In addition to successfully leading growth and operations in New Haven, Aimee led the enhanced access initiative for NEMG this past year and was instrumental in the operational oversight and creation of our new North Haven Multispecialty Center with Karen Brown, MD.

Robert Dickman was promoted from his previous role as Greenwich associate director for practice operations to New Haven director for practice operations, reporting to Peter Logue. In this role, he will provide operational oversight for both the walk-in clinics and the PhysicianOne urgent care collaboration. Since joining NEMG two years ago, Robert has led the Greenwich region practice operations and was instrumental in the development of NEMG’s significantly expanded primary care presence in the region. Most recently, he worked closely with the NEMG hospitalist services to implement standard scheduling software.

Kathleen Madden was recently appointed the first NEMG Accountable Care Organization (ACO)/value-based programs director, reporting to Arnold DoRosario, MD. Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience related to value-based contracts, including provider incentives, bundled payments and shared savings. Previously, she built collaborative programs with key physician and hospital groups in both the Connecticut and Michigan markets to improve cost and outcomes. Most recently, she was vice president of delivery system partnerships and strategic initiatives at ConnectiCare. In addition to the ACO and value-based programs, Kathy will provide oversight to the quality and patient experience programs in NEMG. In this capacity, Carrie Guttman, Rhonda Way and Dorie Gemmell will report to her.

Charles Esposito, MD, has been named the new pediatrics service line director, reporting to Arnold DoRosario, MD. Dr. Esposito has been practicing pediatrics in Gales Ferry, CT since 1981. He has been recognized for his expertise and commitment to his patients, as well as his work leading quality improvement and evidence-based guideline implementation for our pediatricians. He will work closely with the YNHH pediatrics service line leadership to enhance care for our communities.
