CEO Message: May 2018
Hope your spring is off to a great start and you are beginning to enjoy the recent warmer weather.
In this month’s newsletter, I will focus on our new multispecialty centers. These sites are realizing our strategy to provide high-quality medical care, and to do so in a way that concentrates on what patients want and deserve – namely the convenience of access to the care that they need in one place. In addition, it creates more efficiency and teamwork for all of our practicing clinicians and staff.
We currently have multispecialty centers operating in Trumbull, North Haven and New London. In addition to both Primary and Walk-in care, laboratory testing, blood draw and x-ray services, these facilities collectively offer the following specialties: cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology, neurology, obstetrics, pain management, podiatry, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine.
NEMG Multispecialty Center - North Haven
Due to the overwhelming success of these two locations, I am proud to share that we will be expanding our reach to two additional sites this year.
We will be opening an 18,000 square foot facility in Rye Brook, NY, and a 6,000 square foot facility in Westport, CT. Both feature primary care and a wide-range of specialties including: cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pediatrics, perinatology and urology.
In 2019, we are planning to open a 25,000 square foot facility in Fairfield, CT, consolidating eight sites into one location, offering primary care, endocrinology, pulmonology, sleep medicine and urology.
These new facilities will bring together a number of our providers, both physicians and advanced practice clinicians, to offer better and more convenient coordinated care to our patients. Additionally, we will be adding specialties, strategically, to fill gaps in care. NEMG currently offers 46 specialties across the network.
Finally, I would like to highlight that on Saturday, June 2, NEMG will host a community health fair at 112 Quarry Road in Trumbull. The fair will feature health screenings, live cooking demonstrations, health topic discussions and more. If you have interest in volunteering or have questions, please contact David Mazzariello at David.Mazzariello@ynhh.org. I hope to see you there.
Thank you all for your diligent work and dedication to excellence in patient care.
