This month, Northeast Medical Group recognizes two essential members of its Diversity and Inclusion Council: Cindy Fraser and Rita Katanov.
Cindy Fraser, a practice supervisor, has worked for NEMG for five years and has been a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council since January 2019. Of the programs Cindy has volunteered her time to support, her favorite was the Ronald McDonald House meal program. “I had a grand time working with my colleagues to give something back to the community,” she said. “Just knowing that our work will meet someone’s needs, or deliver joy, is a very humbling experience.”
Rita Katanov, a practice supervisor, has been with NEMG since July 2018, and during that time has been a valued member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council. She’s volunteered for numerous initiatives, including: a Toys for Tots collection and the Ronald McDonald House of Valhalla, NY volunteer meal program. “Having the opportunity to give back to our community in a meaningful way has been truly rewarding,” she said.
