Viewing images - better, faster, stronger

After many years of planning, Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) is excited to introduce a new image viewing solution, the Visage Imaging viewer. Advanced viewing capabilities and consolidated access to imaging across YNHHS will improve speed, reliability and overall patient safety and treatment.

Visage will replace Fuji Synapse PACS beginning July 29 for new radiology imaging at both Yale New Haven Hospital campuses, Bridgeport Hospital and associated outpatient radiology locations. Greenwich Hospital clinicians will have access to the Visage viewer to view images from their respective locations, with full implementation scheduled shortly after the Epic upgrade in October.

These innovative technologies will be integrated with a number of applications to streamline reading workflows and information access for radiologists and will provide major improvements in imaging speed, functionality and scalability for all YNHHS clinicians. To assure continuity, Visage PACS will be available through the Epic patient record or via a desktop icon.

ITS teams and radiologists are currently planning and preparing the systems for implementation. Watch for further communications about this much-needed improvement in imaging, along with links to necessary training materials.
