CPBS takes over revenue cycle and makes its new home at the MOB
The CPBS team at the Medical Office Building in New London, CT.
On Oct. 1, Northeast Medical Group billing functions were taken in house by Corporate Professional Business Services (CPBS) – a division of Yale New Haven Health. Previously outsourced by McKesson, CPBS now handles all claim submissions, charge reviews, payment postings and 100 percent of the insurance follow-up. Within the first month of taking over the revenue cycle, and during a move to the third floor of the Medical Office Building (MOB) in New London, payments collected were the highest in NEMG history.
Previously housed throughout the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital campus, the CPBS employees not only now occupy the third floor, but they are also housed on some of the first floor of the MOB, and enjoy a new expanded breakroom.
Director of professional billing, Jennifer Wooley, said “Everyone is very happy with the beautiful brand new space!”
