CEO Message: December 2017 - January 2018

Dear Colleagues:

As the year comes to a close, I’d like to wish each and every one of you a happy holiday season. May you enjoy this special time with your friends and family.

We have accomplished a lot this year through amazing teamwork and dedication, and we have continued to achieve high patient satisfaction and quality scores, ranking us in the 96th percentile among healthcare providers nationally.

To celebrate all of you, we recently honored our physicians and staff at a special awards ceremony. On November 28, the first annual Northeast Medical Group Employee Recognition Dinner was held at The Waterview, in Monroe, CT. The event was our opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for your hard work and dedication.

I was very happy to see so many members of our group (about 200) present, and many making the trip from the Bridgeport, New Haven, Greenwich and New London regions. We were excited to have Marna Borgstrom, YNHHS CEO, join us for the evening as keynote speaker. She commended us on the collective accomplishments of NEMG, and recognized our significant contributions to the health system.

In addition to celebrating your commitment as a team, we also honored individual employees. Acknowledgment was given to those celebrating years of service milestones from five years all the way up to 45 years.

Aligned with our dedication to patient satisfaction and quality, we recognized select advanced practice clinicians and physicians from each region who achieved over 99th percentile patient satisfaction ratings.

Additionally, James Fountain created a stirring video tribute to all of our 2016 and 2017 STAR Award winners. Please click here to view a complete list of all of the honorees.

The Employee Recognition Committee was instrumental in the success of this event, and we appreciate their thorough planning and execution of the program. We look forward to another wonderful celebration in 2018. You can read more about the evening in this issue.

Thank you again for your diligent work and dedication to our patients and NEMG through 2017 and into our new fiscal year. I wish each of you a happy and prosperous new year. As we end the year on a high note, be on the lookout for more information about our 2018 priorities in upcoming newsletters.

Best wishes and Happy Holidays,
