NEMG OPT work order request

Beginning this month, the NEMG Optimization Team will implement a new electronic request process. Instead of contacting their assigned optimization specialist directly, users will submit a request via email that will go to the IT service desk, which will create a work order in the Remedy application and assign it to the team. The Remedy application will track all incoming requests.

The goal is to provide better service by having a dedicated resource to monitor requests daily, standardized communication and track requests by category. With all requests going to the Remedy application, the team will be able to search past topics and review communication logs. In addition, requests can be analyzed to identify future topics for the super-user sessions.

The new process will roll out by region over four weeks. Information about the process will be provided at regional supervisor meetings, and reminders will be sent before the start in each region. The Practice Optimization Team consists of six specialists who support approximately 450 clinicians, along with users in community practice offices. The team is also involved in projects such as the Super User Program, Mod Squad visits, process improvement projects, corporate objective workgroups and many other efforts.
