How We Care For You
We bring together both stat-of-the-art technology and the time-honored traditions of carefully listening to and examining the patient, the goal being excellent diagnostic consultations and therapeutic outcomes.
Our well-trained and highly motivated staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants and office administrators are skilled in assisting individuals with coronary heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, congestive heart failure, challenging hypertension and lipid problems, peripheral circulation problems, varicose veins, or who have symptoms that may be cardiac in origin, such as chest discomfort, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, palpitations, loss of consciousness, or swelling of the extremities.
We work co-operatively with referring physicians and surgeons, patients and their families to diagnose and treat (or rule out) such cardiac and circulatory conditions, and to assess and optimize cardiac patients who are undergoing other (non-cardiac) surgeries. We have a special interest in helping patients plan lifestyle and medication measures to prevent heart disease if they have a family history of heart problems, or if they have risk factors for heart disease such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or elevated cholesterol.
We offer office examinations, electrocardiograms, Holter rhythm and event monitors, echocardiography, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, exercise stress testing, device interrogation, and anticoagulant testing. Through Greenwich Hospital, we offer cardiology consultations, cardiac rehabilitation, nuclear cardiac testing, transesophageal echocardiography, electrical cardioversion, CT angiography of the heart, electrophysiology evaluation, pacemaker and defibrillator placement, cardiac catheterization and angiography, and emergency coronary angioplasty and stent placement. Our strong links with world-class university medical centers in Connecticut and New York enable us to make prompt and secure personal referrals for major procedures such as cardiac surgery, elective catheter stent and valve placement, and radiofrequency ablation for challenging heart rhythm problems.
After all of these procedures, we conduct regular follow-up visits at our office, the goal being excellence and continuity of care throughout treatment for all of our patients.
