More than 50 Northeast Medical Group Physicians Among CT “Best Doctors”

Tuesday, April 3, 2018

Stratford, CT (April 3, 2018) – More than 50 Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) physicians and more than 400 from across Yale New Haven Health – which includes Bridgeport, Greenwich, Yale New Haven, Lawrence + Memorial and Westerly hospitals – have been selected by their state colleagues for Connecticut Magazine’s 2017-2018 Best Doctors in America list in the April 2018 issue.

“Our physicians are deeply dedicated to providing high-quality, advanced care,” said Prathibha Varkey, MBBS, president and CEO of NEMG. “Their devotion to ensuring that every patient under their care is treated with the respect and compassion they expect and deserve is both admirable and inspiring.”

Connecticut Magazine’s selection methodology recently changed when Hearst Media acquired the publication. The list is now compiled by Best Doctors, which undertakes a peer-to-peer survey every two years. Only currently listed Best Doctors can submit nominations for doctors who, in their judgment, are the best in their field.

The “Best Doctors” issue features more than 800 physicians representing scores of specialties, is available online.
