Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) are professionals with advanced education and specialized experience, who work with the physician to provide efficient and coordinated care. APCs work in primary care, pediatrics, urgent care centers, hospitals and various specialties.

When you see an APC, you can expect high-quality care. APCs are trained and capable of performing many services your doctor typically provides.

Advanced Practice Clinicians Include

Physician Assistant (PA) – Nationally-certified and state-licensed to perform a broad range of medical tasks, PAs complete courses in medicine, graduate from an accredited PA program and pass a certification exam. Many of our PAs complete additional training in a specialized area.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – A registered nurse educated at the Masters or post Masters level and in a specific role and patient population. APRNs are prepared by education and are certified to assess, diagnose, and manage patient problems, order tests, and prescribe medications.
